I recently attended an in-person first aid course led by Karen, and I couldn’t recommend it more. Karen was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and engaging throughout the session. She broke down complex concepts into easy steps, making sure everyone felt confident with both the content and hands-on practice. After this training, I feel much more prepared to respond confidently in an emergency.

We booked Karen to deliver first aid training to our staff and volunteers. Some attendees have learning disabilities and so the needs of the group was varied. Karen delivered the training in a way that everyone could understand. Ensuring practical activities were able to be carried out by everyone and plenty of time for questions and demonstrations. Reasonable adjustments were made to ensure some learners could complete the end exam, this included allowing someone to read the questions out to those who could not read. One person did not pass and was upset, however Karen explained that the learning they had taken part in meant they still had the skills to carry out first aid in an emergency and presented them with a certificate of participation.

Karen delivered such a brilliant first aid training session yesterday. From the moment it started, she created a really warm and relaxed atmosphere that instantly put everyone at ease. She’s so down to earth and easy going, which made learning feel natural rather than overwhelming. Karen explained everything clearly, kept it engaging throughout, and made sure everyone felt confident and comfortable asking questions. I genuinely really enjoyed the course, which isn’t something you always expect with first aid training! I’ve come away feeling much more confident and prepared, and I’m so glad I had Karen as the trainer. I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking to do their first aid training.

My son did a 5 day lifeguarding course with Karen, it was very strenuous not only the physical aspect but the theoretic side too. The group was small so it was even more intensive. Karen ran a 3 day first aid course for our staff here at Burnley leisure, she was extremely professional, knowledgeable and gave our staff a great experience, the course consisted of a mixture of practical and theory lessons that were both educational and fun, we will continue to use Karen for many many years to come.

Karen’s first-aid training was well-structured and taught with both practical and theory based learning. The theory was presented via PowerPoint, which is useful for visual learners like myself! There was an element of group-work, which helped everyone confidently share ideas. The equipment used for the practical element of the course was modern and well-maintained, which allowed for realistic practice. Would recommend Karen for first- aid training!

I attend monthly lifeguard training with Karen and couldn’t recommend her highly enough. She makes every session engaging, professional, and easy to follow. Karen clearly has a lot of knowledge and experience, and she explains skills and scenarios in a way that really builds confidence in the water and on poolside.
